Today I’m sharing a super common but confusing peptide problem: Why do some clear white peptide powders turn yellow or light amber after dissolving?

1. Why peptides turn yellow after reconstitution

Honestly, the yellowing thing always seemed a bit sketchy to me at first, but from what I’ve seen it’s usually oxidation or impurities playing a role. Some peptides are just more sensitive to light and air once reconstituted, so they start turning yellowish pretty quickly. Not necessarily a sign they’re trash, but definitely a heads-up to store them right and use fast.

Also weirdly enough, the type of solvent can make a difference. I had one batch where switching from sterile water to a tiny bit of bacteriostatic water helped keep it clear longer.
