3. Repeatedly opening the vial in humid air
Lyophilized peptide powder is extremely hygroscopic. Each opening absorbs moisture in the air, causing slow hydrolysis and purity decline. Frequent opening is the main cause of short shelf life.
4. Reusing needles and unsterile tools
Reused needles and non-sterile syringes carry bacteria and impurities. Even if the liquid looks clear, invisible contamination will gradually degrade peptides.
5. Exposing peptides to light during operation
Many special peptides are sensitive to ultraviolet and ambient light. Long-term light exposure will trigger photodegradation, damage molecular structure and reduce stability.
Suggestion: Finish operation quickly and store peptides in dark environment.
6. Refreezing thawed peptide solution
Once reconstituted liquid peptides are thawed and refrozen, molecular structure will be permanently damaged. The solution may still look clear, but the potency is already lost.
